Welcome to The Modern Nurse. The initiative was created for the modern nurse, by a modern nurse. I am a fellow Nurse practicing in a busy cardiac ward located in an even busier city known as central London. Whilst planning my career, I created this website to support fellow modern nurses during their own career planning and to help bring their career and personal finance goals and envisions to life.
The ultimate intention is to create as a safe haven for nurses to come and be inspired to grow to their ultimate potential. We shall fulfil this through providing various forms of personal finance information, education, opinions, and advice that will better equip you as a modern nurse.
Here we believe that anything is achievable, and we simply just need information in relation to the direction we want to take.
About me
For the last three years I have been training and studying to qualify as a nurse at Kings College London. As many of you are aware, the journey to becoming a registered qualified nurse is long, demanding but also extremely rewarding.
However, the journey only really begins once your NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) pin is registered, and you are on your way for your first day. As I write this, it is my official starting date at my newly qualified staff nurse role in a cardiac ward in London. I am excited for the future of my career alongside the future of nursing.
I have many aspirations; some may seem absurd, but I am certain they are achievable; hence, The Modern Nurse. As I navigate the nursing world, I hope to share and connect my research, experiences, and opinions with all of you Modern Nurses.
Are you in for the ride?
